GCPEA is composed of the following bargaining units:

Courthouse Unit

This unit is composed of all* regular full-time and regular part-time employees of:

  • Assessor's Office
  • Auditor's Office
  • Clerk's Office
  • Building Department
  • Fire Marshal
  • Treasurer's Office
  • Planning Department
  • County Extension Office
  • Switch Board
  • Mail Room
  • Maintenance
  • Communications

*Excluded positions:

  • Elected officials
  • Department heads
  • Chief Deputy Auditor
  • Chief Deputy Clerk
  • Chief Deputy Treasurer
  • Chief Deputy Assessor
  • Chief Appraiser
  • Commissioners
  • Elections Manager

Public Works Unit

This unit is composed of all* non-supervisory and non-confidential Grant County Public Works employees in:

  • Road Districts
  • Traffic
  • Administration
  • Equipment Maintenance Division
  • Engineering Divisions
  • Solid Waste

*Excluded positions:

  • Director of Public Works

  • Assistant Director of Public Works
  • Administrative Assistant/Payroll Clerk
  • supervisory personnel
  • confidential personnel
  • all other employees of the County

District Court Unit

This unit is composed of all* regular full-time and regular part-time clerical employees of the Grant County District Court.

  • supervisors
  • confidential employees
  • probation officers
  • lead clerks
  • Court Administrator
  • Administrative Assistant
  • District Court Officer
  • elected officials
  • appointed officials

Youth Services Unit

This unit is composed of all* regular full-time and regular part-time Grant County Youth Services employees.

* Excluded positions:

  • Elected Officials,

  • Department Heads,
  • Administrative Assistants in each department
  • all other employees in the County

2019 CB Agreements

Negotiations are ongoing.

2018 CB Agreements

All GCPEA unit agreements rolled over from 2017 to 2018, with the following changes:

  • Wage increase of 3%
  • Annual leave maximum accrual increase to 240 hours
  • Senior Planner, Elections Manager, and Licensing & Recording Supervisor positions removed from GCPEA bargaining unit
  • Assistant Payroll/Accounting Clerk (PW), Program Coordinator (Solid Waste), Technology Systems Technician (PW) positions included in GCPEA bargaining unit
